ZZ Top also recently detailed their 50th anniversary tour, which kicks off August 16 in Washington. A single-CD version with 18 tracks, as well as digital and streaming versions, will be available June 14. Two bonus tracks, “Salt Lick” and “Miller’s Farm” – a single and B-side respectively – were recorded in 1969 by the original incarnation of ZZ Top. TIDAL is the first global music streaming service with high fidelity sound, hi-def video quality, along with expertly curated playlists and original content. Goin’ 50 will be released as a three-CD or five-LP set on August 16 via Warner Bros. This new 50-track retrospective includes an array of hits from each of the 15 studio albums that guitarist Billy Gibbons, drummer Frank Beard and bassist Dusty Hill cut since 1970. Good spirits and lascivious jokes always have been integral to the trio's appeal, and they can be heard in abundance on this triple-CD/five-LP set that tells their story from beginning to end. ZZ Top celebrate 50 years of beards, blues, hot cars, and fuzzy guitars in 2019 with a new, Texas-sized compilation that includes the 50 songs that helped transform “that little ol’ band from Texas” into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame standard bearers they have become in the 21st century. Packed with enough hits to fill a roadhouse jukebox, the 180g vinyl 5LP box set spans ZZ Top’s entire musical career, from their 1969 debut, and their multi-platinum zenith during the ’80s, to their most-recent releases. The very title of Goin' 50 suggests ZZ Top are considering their 50th anniversary as an event to be celebrated with a sense of humor. 50-Song, 180g Vinyl 5LP Box Set Collection Spanning the Texas Trio’s Entire Recording Career!
